Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Louis A. Alleman, 82, who died Sunday, July 13, 2014 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Abshire Cemetery with Reverend Farley Painter officiating the services.

He is survived by three sons, Eugene Alleman and his wife, Donna of Rayne, Bradley Alleman and his wife, Brenda of Abbeville, Raymond Alleman of Rayne; two daughters, Sandra Alleman of Rayne and Karen Alleman of Kaplan; his companion for the last three years, Velma Quibodeaux; two brothers, Charles Murphy Alleman of Rayne and Merlin Alleman of Rayne; nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dixie Villejoin Alleman; parents, Arthur Alleman and the former Mathild Breaux; three brothers, Cesar, Ardon and Jean Amede Alleman; two sisters, Mathild Meche and Anna Credeur; eleven half brothers and sisters; one grandson, Nicholas Castille; and one great granddaughter, Kimberlee Pellerin.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Hospice of Acadiana and his sitters, especially Nedia for her special care and concern throughout. He chose his grandchildren for his pallbearers.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, July 14, 2014 from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m.; Tuesday, July 15, from 8 a.m. until services.
