Gueydan—Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 29, 2008 at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan honoring the life of Carrie Aleshire Rowe, 98, who died Sunday, August 24, 2008 at Gueydan Memorial Guest Home.
She will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Farley Painter officiating the services.
She is survived by her four daughters, Carole Deane and her husband Harold C. Williams of Temple, TX, Priscilla and her husband Stanford Simon of Gonzales, Mary and her husband Harold Merritt Jr. of Kaplan and Danise and her husband Joseph Russo of Houston, TX; eleven grandchildren; and twenty-five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R.S. "Dick" Rowe; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Aelshire; and one grandchild, Robert "Bobby" Rowe Allen.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth Street, on Thursday, August 28, 2008 from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m.; Friday from 8 a.m. until services.
