Reverend Steven DesOrmeaux will be officiating the services. He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery at a later date.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy Uriegas; son, Danny Uriegas and his wife Judy; two daughters, Anna Uriegas, and Patricia Uriegas-Lantz and her husband Quincy; three step-sons, Jamie Broussard and his wife Cherie, Barry Broussard, and Brandon Broussard and his wife Tabatha; brothers, Richard Uriegas, Danny Uriegas, Michael Uriegas, and Max Uriegas; sisters, Mary Ann Cisneros, Opal Meaux, Rose Marie "Holly" Albarado, Joanne Uriegas, May Dora Uriegas, and Ada LeMaire; grandchildren, Victoria Guidry, Kjerston Soirez, Blake Martin, Grant Martin, Cori Broussard and his wife Danika, Taylor Broussard, Morgan Broussard, Jody Broussard, Alyssa Broussard, Sarah Broussard, Caden Broussard, and Haven Broussard; great grandchildren, Kyleigh Broussard and Cohen Broussard; and an abundance of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Uriegas, Sr. and the former Marlene Clakley; brothers, Willie Uriegas, Jr. and Johnny Uriegas; and sister, Shirley Trahan.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Thursday, July 24, 2014 from noon until 9:00 p.m.; Friday, July 25, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
