He is survived by his son, Damian Simon; daughter, Desiree Guidry and her husband Garrett; two step daughters, Melody Langlinais and Jessica Delaughter and her husband Jamie; two sisters, Kathy Hebert and Beverly LaBry; twelve grandchildren, Cade Guidry, Landon Guidry, Averi Guidry, Kristen Lemaire, Blake Simon, Cainan Simon, Cullan Simon, Channing Langlinais, Maddy Langlinais, Taylor McCullough, Cord Lyons and Peyton Delaughter; and his faithful dog, Thibodeaux.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Trudy Simon; and his parents, Dudley Simon and the former Rosabelle Dubois; and a grandchild, Hope McCullough.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Saturday, August 2, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until time of services.
