Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 15, 2014 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Harcie “Paul” Gaspard, 78, who died Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Acadia General Hospital. He will be laid to rest at Greene Cemetery with Reverend Keith Landry officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Lauris "Maw Kate" Gaspard; one step-son, Eli Saltzman of Abbeville; one step-daughter, Dorothy Simon of Kaplan; one sister, Gertie Clostio of Kaplan; six grandchildren, James Thompson of Indian Bayou, Timothy Kerrigan of Kaplan, Thomas Kerrigan of Monroe, Samuel Simon of Crowley, Tangi Racca of Lacassine, and Barbara Guilbeaux of Carencro; 16 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Gaspard and the former Cora Callahan; two brothers; and three sisters.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 4 p.m. until services.
