Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 29, 2014 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Harris Joseph David, 82, who died Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at LA Extended Care Hospital. He will be laid to rest at Hebert Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Learline G. David of Kaplan; four sons, Cole (Deanie) David of Kaplan, Harris (Cynthia) David of Kaplan, Forrest (Sherrie) David of Texas, and Troy (Susie) David of Judice; three daughters, Rhonda (T-Boy) Baudoin of Kaplan, Nell (Bryan) Romero of Cow Island, and Julia (Mark) Touchet of Cow Island; two sisters, Mildred Monceaux of Lake Charles and Nona Henry of Cow Island; 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 7 step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis David and the former Edia LeMaire; two brothers, Wilbert and Gilbert David; two sisters, Hazel Romero and Eula Mae Phillips.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Friday, August 29, 2014 from 8 a.m. until services.
