Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Friday, September 12, 2008 at a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Elodie Harrington Benoit, 89, who died Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at Kaplan Healthcare Center.

She will be laid to rest at St. Anne Cemetery with Reverend Randall Moreau officiating the services.

She is survived by one daughter, Ruth and her husband Kenneth Schexnider; one sister, Wilda Gaspard; two grandchildren, Stephanie and her husband Kim LaBry and Katina and her husband Greg Dartez; and three great grandchildren, Sidney Dartez, Lanie LaBry, and Garet LaBry, all of Kaplan.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Reaul Sonnier; her second husband, Arthur Benoit; three brothers, Ora, Gustave, and Weston Harrington; one sister, Enite Royer; and her parents, Ovelia Harrington and the former Ozea Hargrave.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, September 11, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. until services on Friday, September 12. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 Thursday evening.
