Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Severan Vincent, 89, who died Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Pelican Pointe Healthcare and Rehabilitation. He will be laid to rest at St. Anne Cemetery with Reverend Keith Landry officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Nedray Marie Vincent; two daughters, Kathleen and her husband, Wayne Hargrave of Lafayette and Deborah and her husband, Kurt Broussard of Lafayette; one stepson, Wilton Harrington of Cow Island; one brother, Joseph Vincent Jr. of Cow Island; one grandson, Cody Broussard; five step-grandchildren, Tiffany, Stacey, Derick, Brandon, and Brady; and three step-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Vincent and the former Clomire Bourque; three brothers; and five sisters.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, August 29, 2014 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Saturday, August 30, 2014 from 8 a.m. until services.
