She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon Randy Hyde officiating the services.
Elaine was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother who believed in living and enjoying life to the fullest.
She is survived by her three sons, A. J. Romero and his wife, Rhonda of Vermont, Robert Romero of Abbeville, and Joseph "Joey" Romero and his wife, Kristen of Spring, TX; twelve grandchildren, Damian Romero, Blythe Romero, Tricia R. Duhon, Cody Romero, Kyle Romero, Jillian Romero, Justin Vasquez, Jackie Crawford, Jarred Vasquez, Joshua Vasquez, Taylor Greenway and Kirsten Greenway; and four great grandchildren, Zoe Romero, Blake Maturin, Phoebe Brooker and Beatrix Crawford.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert LeBlanc and the former Eula Broussard; husband, Alton J. Romero, Sr.; and grandson, Andrew Romero.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
