Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 12, 2014 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Vernice LeBouef, 87, who died Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Cedric Sonnier officiating the services.

She is survived by her five sons, Ernest "Big Boy" LeBouef and his wife, Tina "Rose" of Kaplan, Richard "Wino" LeBouef of Kaplan, Raymond LeBouef and his wife, Connie of Kaplan, Rickey LeBouef and his wife, Connie of Kaplan, and Johnny LeBouef and his companion, Brenda Vincent of Kaplan; four daughters, Earline Arcement of Kaplan, Rose Ann and her husband, Paul Marx of Eunice, Delores and her husband, Sandrus "Moutte" Stelly of Forked Island, and Brenda LeBouef and her companion, Glen Leonard of Kaplan; three half-sisters, Annie Lou Fontenot of Iowa, Gertie Mae LaPoint of Iowa, and Mary Young of Iowa; one brother, Millard Breaux of Iowa; one half-brother Louis Abshire of Iowa; 25 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrus "Mulate" LeBouef; one son, Rodney LeBouef; one daughter-in-law, Tobby LeBouef; and one son-in-law, Dewey Arcement, Jr..

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, September 11, 2014 from 11 a.m. until services with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.
