Presley Morvant

November 24, 1920 — September 16, 2008

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Presley Morvant, 87, who died Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at Maison duMonde Living Center.
He will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend William C. Blanda officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Norris Bouillion, Kevin LaSalle, John LaSalle, Donald Broussard, Shelton Andrus and John Andrus.
He was a veteran of the United States
Army serving his country during World War
II with overseas duty in Germany.
He is survived by include his wife of 67 years, Jane Richard Morvant of Meaux; two grandsons, Zachary Morvant, and Lucas Morvant, both of Arcadia, California; daughter-in-law, Mary Lynn Morvant of Arcadia, California; and his caretakers, Norris and Tina Bouillion of Erath.
He was preceded in death by by his son, Jeffery Morvant; his father, Isodore Morvant; his mother, Fadra Stelly Morvant; and a sister, Hilda M. Guidry.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Wednesday, September 17, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
The family would like to thank Dr.
Ronald LaHasky, the aides and nurses of
Maison du Monde and Southern Care
Hospice for the all their devoting and care
they provided to Presley.
