Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church honoring the life of Shawn Joseph Lalande, 34, who died Sunday, September 21, 2014 at LA Highway 35 at Clint Road.

He will be laid to rest at Leroy Cemetery with Father Johnathan Janise officiating the services.

Pallbearers will be Grant Broussard, Shaney Dore, K.T. McDonald, Sham Bourque, Andre Broussard and Monty Bergeron.

He is survived by his daughters, Lexy and Macy Lalande; parents, Patrick Lalande and the former Rosanne Dore; two sisters, Amanda Dudding, and Lauren Bourque and her husband, Sham; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lilli Lalande.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Monday, September 22, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Tuesday September 23, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.

In Lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made to help defray the cost of funeral and medical expenses.
