Jules Louis Pommier

October 29, 1934 — September 25, 2008

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 27, 2008 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church honoring the life of Jules Louis Pommier, 73, who died Thursday, September 25, 2008 at Lafayette General Medical Center.

He will be laid to rest at Leroy Cemetery with Reverend Greg Simien officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be David Meaux, Ben Stelly, Danny Broussard, Brent Broussard, John Broussard, and Howard Ratliff.

He is survived by twelve cousins, General Jerome Landry USAF and his wife Theresa of Duncansville, PA, Peggy Pate of Denham Springs, Carolyn Meaux of Kaplan, Patricia Landry of Abbeville, Jackie Landry of Leroy, Chaplin James Carey Landry and his wife Carol Jean of Indianapolis, IN, Yvette and her husband Brent Broussard of Lafayette, Neal Pomea and his wife Jane of Silver Spring, MD, Hilda Hebert of Lafayette, Deanna and her husband Howard Ratliff of Lafayette, and Eljin and her husband John Broussard of Leroy; and a special friend, Cody Romero of Leroy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Louis Pommier and the former Fabiola Landry.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, September 26, 2008 from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Saturday, September 27, from 8 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
