Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 27, 2014 at a 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Jeanne Yvette Meaux Fontenot, 66, who died Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Cedric Sonnier officiating the services.

She is survived by her two daughters, Monica and her husband, Robert Anderson of Pineville and Nicole and her husband, Mark Freres of Hubert, NC; three godchildren, Paige Marceaux of Kaplan, Esther-Ethan Weeks of New York, and Timmy Cheek of Kaplan; one sister, Nellie LeBas of Huntsville, AL; and three grandchildren, Landon Anderson, Taylor Freres, and Emma Freres .

She was preceded in death by her parents, Reaux Meaux and the former Lucie Truphemus; one sister, Annick and her husband, Joe Broussard; two brothers, Michel and Ervin Meaux, one brother-in-law, Daniel LeBas; and one grandson, Garrett Anderson.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, September 26, 2014 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Saturday, September 27, 2014 from 8 a.m. until services.
