Gueydan—Funeral services will be held Friday, October 3, 2014 at a 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Emery Joseph Broussard, 86, who died Monday, September 29, 2014 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Corey Campeaux officiating the services.

He is survived by his three daughters, Loraine and her husband, Darryl Campbell of Gueydan, Susan Broussard LeJeune of Gueydan, and Emerlena and her husband, Kirk Maxile of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; ten grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his spouse, Margaret Richard Broussard; two daughters, Curlene B. Adams and Cynthia "Penny" B. Hebert; his parents, Saul Broussard and the former Noelie Hebert; six brothers; and one sister.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth Street, on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Friday, October 3, 2014 from 8 a.m. until services.
