Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Wilda B. Broussard, 92, who died Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Cedric Sonnier officiating the services.
She is survived by her two daughters, Dora B. Broussard and her husband, Paul and Marlene B. Romero and her husband, Larry; five grandchildren, Paulette B. Gaspard, Dori B. Vincent, Rahn C. Broussard, Chance A. Romero, and Chezz A. Romero; four great grandchildren, Meaghan G. Boudreaux, Mallory A. Gaspard, Tori G. Vincent, and Drayke J. Broussard; three great-great grandchildren; Yardley R. Boudreaux, Karter Z. Abshire, and Hollis D. Boudreaux; and siblings, Fadra B. Landry and Daniel Broussard.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Lua "Peru" Broussard; parents, Dora L. Broussard and Philip Broussard; siblings, Pauline B. Landry, Paul Broussard, and Dudley J. Broussard; one grandson, Thad Broussard; and one great grandchild, Marley E. Broussard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 11 a.m. until services.
