Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Iris Louise Mire, 81, who died Saturday, October 4, 2008.

She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.

She is survived by two sons, Terry of San Marcos, Texas and Charles of Lubbock, Texas; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gaynell; and her husband of 55 years, Robley Mire.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, October 6, 2008 from 12 p.m. until 10 p.m.; Tuesday, October 7, from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Wednesday, October 8, from 8 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
