Mabel Meaux Cormier

October 23, 1914 — October 5, 2008

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Mabel Meaux Cormier, 93, who died Sunday, October 5, 2008 at Kaplan Healthcare Center.

She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend William Rogalla officiating the services.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ursin Cormier of Kaplan; her caregiver, Ann Abshire and her family of Kaplan; one brother, Shelton Meaux of Wildwood, Texas; two sisters, Bertha Faulk and Mary Broussard, both of Lafayette; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Amade D. Meaux and the former Zelmire Babineaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:30 p.m.; Wednesday, October 8, from 8 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
