Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 24, 2014 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Peter “Pete” Touchet, 53, who died Thursday, October 23, 2014 at University Hospital and Clinics. He will be laid to rest at Suire Cemetery with Reverend Farley Painter officiating the services.

He is survived by his son, Damian Touchet, Sr. of Forked Island; two grandchildren, Damian Touchet, Jr. and Allie Touchet, both of Forked Island; one sister, Jane Greene of Kaplan; and four brothers, Linus Touchet of Forked Island, Minus Touchet of Kaplan, Mark Touchet of Kaplan, and Paul Touchet of Kaplan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hypolite Touchet and the former Eve Suire; two brothers, John and Thomas Touchet; and one sister, Rose Touchet.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, October 23, 2014 from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Friday, October 24, 2014 from 8 a.m. until services.
