Funeral services will be held Monday, October 13, 2008 at an 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Leona Christine Ognibene, who died Friday, October 10, 2008 at Abbeville General Hospital. She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend Greg Chauvin officiating the services. She is survived by several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and several great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by father, Ben Ognibene; mother, Francis Graffeo Ognibene; six brothers, Frank, Victor, Angelo, Paul, Phillip and Joseph Ognibene; and two sisters, Jennie Ognibene Abate and Annie Ognibene Moore. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, October 12, 2008 from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 pm; Monday, October 13, 2008 from 8:00 am until 10:45 am when the procession will depart for the church.
