Lelia Leblanc Broussard

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 13, 2008 at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville honoring the life of Lelia LeBlanc Broussard, 92, who died Thursday, October 9, 2008 at Eastridge Nursing Center. She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services. Pallbearers include Harris Broussard, Aaron Broussard, Kevin Broussard, Damion Comeaux, Troy Buteau and Edwin(Eddie) Buteau. Honorary pallbearers include Brad Broussard, John Morvant, Chris Morvant and Brian Abate. She is survived by a son, James Harris Broussard New Iberia; two daughters, Shirley Morvant and husband John of Abbeville, and Goldie Broussard and husband Brad of Perry; eight grandchildren, Nanette Comeaux of Abbeville, Debra Morvant of Abbeville, Chris Morvant of San Francisco, CA, Cheryl Buteau and husband Troy of St. Martinville, Charmaine Abate and husband Brian of Erath, Aaron Broussard of New Iberia, Donna Choate of Abbeville and Denaise Choate of Erath; twelve great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren . She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcel J. Broussard; parents Avery and Oriska Primeaux LeBlanc; a brother, R.B. LeBlanc; a sister, Rositia Broussard; and a daughter-in-law, Brenda Broussard. Lelia was a very loving and giving person. Everyone loved her and she will be greatly missed. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, that taught her family how to love and be loved. "Ma Bruce" our special lady. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, October 12, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:15 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday October, 13, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
