Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 30, 2014 at a 1:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Paul Weston Trahan, 83, who died Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Kaplan Healthcare Center. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Matthew Barzare officiating the services.

He is survived by his two sons, James Dale Trahan of Abbeville and Cordell Joseph Trahan of Crowley; one daughter, Gloria Trahan Meaux of Kaplan; five grandchildren, Beau Trahan of Youngsville, Brooke Trahan Polito of Lafayette, Brady James Meaux of Kaplan, Brandon Paul Meaux of Kaplan, and Cody Blake Trahan of Crowley; four great grandchildren, Hannah Boudreaux, Mallory Meaux, Morgan Meaux, and Addisyn Meaux, all of Kaplan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rex Trahan and the former Nellie LaBry; his son-in-law, Paul F. Meaux; one grandson, Blake Royce Meaux; and the mother of his children, Mary Catherine Faulk Trahan.

The family is forever grateful for his caretaker, Loraine Gaspard Breaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Thursday, October 30, 2014 from 8 a.m. until services.
