She is survived by her mother, Lauris Gaspard of Kaplan; four sons, James Thompson and his wife, Amy of Rayne, Thomas Kerrigan of Monroe, Timothy Kerrigan of Lafayette, and Samuel Simon and his fiancee, Aimee Dixon of Crowley; one daughter, Tangie Rocca of Lacassine; one sister, Mary Ann Saltzman of Crowley; four brothers, Elie Saltzman of Mouton Cove, Ernest Saltzman of Rayne, Harold Lee Saltzman of Rayne, and Glenn Saltzman of Rayne; sixteen grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her spouse, Emery Simon; her father, Elie Saltzman; and her brother, Lee Saltzman.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 8 a.m. until services.
