Rev. William Schambough will conduct the funeral services. Entombment will be held in St. Paul Mausoleum.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Josh & Matt Broussard, Caleb Hulin, Cade Denais, Michael Trahan and his godson, Allen Rageur.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Margaret of Maurice; his son, Ronnie and his wife Christina, of Lafayette; his daughters, Bonnie Broussard and her husband, Loland of Scott and Denise Hulin and her husband, Duell Peter of Erath; five grandchildren, Sarah Trahan and her husband, Michael of Maurice, Josh Broussard of Maurice, Matt Broussard of Lafayette, Caleb Hulin of Erath and Cade Denais of Lafayette; one great granddaughter, Caitlyn Hulin of Erath; great grandchild to be Baby Trahan; two step-grand daughters, Kaitlyn Dooley and Joelle LeBreton and husband, Josh of Lafayette; brothers, Larris and wife, Gladys of Abbeville and Dale and wife, Mary of Kerrville,
TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John B. and Rena Trahan Denais; his father-in-law & mother-in-law, L.J. and Sarah Cade Menard; two sons, Tommy & David Denais; grandson, Eddie Hulin; two sisters, Dorothy Landry and Vergie Domingue; and two brothers-in-law J.C. Landry and O.J. Domingue.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Friday, November 7, 2014, from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
The family would like to extend a special Thank You to staff and help of Eastridge Nursing Home, Heart of Hospice and to all his family and friends who were special visitors while he was ill.
