Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, November 17, 2014 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Elaine Abshire Trahan, 91, who died Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at San Marcos Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Clint Trahan officiating the services.

She is survived by her two sons, Larry Trahan and his wife, Bernella of Kaplan and Benny Trahan and his wife, Bonnie of Kaplan; one daughter, Sandra and her husband, Garland Greer of Houston, TX; one daughter-in-law, Susan Broussard of Kaplan; thirteen grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roycie Trahan; one son, Nelson Trahan; one daughter-in-law, Linda Menard; and her parents, Semar Abshire and the former Ovenia Guillot.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, November 16, 2014 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Monday, November 17, 2014 from 8 a.m. until services.
