Paul had a genuine love not only for his family but his cajun french heritage.
One of his favorite pastimes was shrimping in the Vermilion Bay or the Gulf of Mexico.
He loved his cajun friends, dancing and music. He enjoyed playing the accordian and the harmonica. He enjoyed playing the train on his harmonica almost as much as he enjoyed playing Santa Claus for his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Colomb Abshire and the former Francois Duviou; one grandson, Dylan Paul Langlinais; and seventeen brothers and sisters.
