Helen Claire "Sis" Durke
March 1, 1922 — December 13, 2014
She will be laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery with Pastor Pres Riley officiating the services. She was a great daugther, sister and aunt. She will be sadly missed by all of her family and by all her extended family.
She is survived by her brother, Louis Durke and his wife Stella of Abbeville; sister, Joyce Durke; three sisters-in-law, Carole Durke of Abbeville, Helen Durke of Texas and Mozelle Durke of Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Walter Durke and the former Levie Benoit; brothers, Walter Durke, Floyd Durke, Charles "Billy" Durke and Al James "Pep" Durke; sister, Gloria Durke; sister-in-law, Wilma Jean Durke; nephew, Clay Allen Durke; and a great nephew Clay Allen Durke.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Monday, December 15, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
