Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Monday, November 10, 2008 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Joseph Curlis Richard, 67, who died Saturday, November 8, 2008 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at St. David Chapel Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lona Mae Adams of Kaplan; three sons, Gerald Dalton Richard and his partner Robert Fritz of Placitas, NM, Anthony Paul Richard of Kaplan and Gregory Alan Richard and his wife Shelly of Burton,TX; two daughters, Anne Marie Richard Dubois and her husband Donald of Meaux and Eva Renee' Richard Broussard and her husband Clayton of Kaplan; one brother, Dexter Richard of Lafayette; three sisters, Lena Richard Hebert and her husband Minos of Crowley, Linda Richard Norris and her husband Stanley of Spring,TX and Lisa Richard Gaspard and her husband Raoul Jr. of Forked Island; and eleven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Ladyes Richard and one grandchild, Casey Maranda Richard. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, November 9, 2008 from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Monday, November 10, from 8 a.m. until services.
