Louise Stevens Choate

August 7, 1922 — November 8, 2008

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at a 3:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Louise Stevens Choate, 86, who died Saturday, November 8, 2008 at a local nursing home.
She will be laid to rest at St. James Cemetery with Reverend Mathew Mullamangalam officiating the services.
She is survived by a son, Lawrence Landry and wife Kathy of Bayou Pigeon; two daughters, Joan Long and Betty Jane Nugier and husband Charles all of Abbeville; eight grandchildren and twenty four great grand children.
She was preceded in death by husband, Alpha Choate; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vorice and Elodie Trahan Stevens; a son, William "Billy" Choate; a daughter, Lou Ella Trahan; son in law, James Long; a brother, Paul "T-Paul" Stevens; and two sisters, Mary Richard and Alice Moore.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Monday, November 10, 2008 from 10:00 A.M. untill 10:00 P.M. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 P.M.; reopen on Tuesday November 11, 2008 at 8:00 A.M. until time of service.
