She is survived by her two sons, John Leslie Abshire and his wife, Donna of Forked Island and Doris James Abshire and his wife, Elanna of Mouton Cove; one step-son, Lursie Bourque and his wife, Evelyn of Rayne; two daughters, Tammy Marie Abshire of Forked Island and Linda Gayle Abshire of Forked Island; four brothers, Chad Mire of Abbeville, Newman Mire of Abbeville, Anthony Mire of Abbeville, and Bob Mire of Abbeville; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Doris Abshire; her second husband, Ocie Thompson; her parents, Anthony Mire and former Regina Vaughn; two grandchildren, Sava Abshire and Amber Abshire; and one daughter, Tesia Viola Abshire.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, December 22, 2014 from 10 a.m. until services.
