Gurdy Gaspard Clostio

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at a 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Gurdy Gaspard Clostio, 81, who died Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Joshua Guillory officiating the services.


She is survived by her two sons, Steven Clostio of Kaplan and Troy Clostio and his wife, Kim of Eatonville, WA; two daughters, Wanda Clostio and her companion, Bob Howard of Kaplan and Sandra and her husband, Marc Comeaux of Kaplan; two grandchildren, Miranda Lynn Comeaux of Lafayette and Ross Allen Comeaux of Kaplan.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Clostio; her parents, Leonard Gaspard and the former Cora Callahan; her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Jim Hebert; three brothers, Gladue, Raoul, and Horace Paul Gaspard; and three sisters, Eunice Gaspard, Gladys Bourgeois, and Eula LeMaire Stelly.


The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Wednesday, December 24, 2014 from 8 a.m. until services.


The family would like to send a special thanks to their mother’s nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, Lucille Langlinais and Louise Clostio, family and friends who called or stopped by to visit with her. They would also like to thank the staff of the Heart Hospital, Abrom Kaplan Memorial, and Kaplan Healthcare Center for their care and compassion during her stay.
