Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Velta B. Lege, 85, who died Friday, December 26, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Matthew Barzare officiating the services.

She is survived by three daughters, Susan Broussard of Florida, Janis and her husband, Ronald L. Little Sr. of Dover, Pennsylvania, Mona Broussard of Kaplan; one sister, Nelda B. Faulk of Kaplan; one sister-in-law, Ethel Broussard of Lake Charles; three grandchildren, Jay Broussard of Lake Charles, Kayla Suire of Alexandria, Brooke Meaux of Meaux; and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lloyd G. Broussard Sr.; second husband, Lloyd J. Lege; one son, Lloyd "Sonny" Broussard Jr.; parents, Alexander Broussard and the former Oceana Schexnider; one brother, Wilfred Broussard; and three sisters, Gladys Broussard Trahan; Effie Broussard Meaux; and Gussie Broussard Greene.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Tuesday, December 30, from 8 a.m. until services.
