Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Barney Dale Broussard, 78, who died Monday, January 5, 2015 at Vermilion Health Care Center.

He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Van McNeil III, Zachary McNeil, Isaac McNeil, Rodney Sagrera, Owen Lachaussee and Danny Paul Broussard.

He is survived by his two sons, John Isaac Broussard and his wife Yulene, and Adam Joseph Broussard; daughter, Michele Broussard McNeil and her husband Van Teryl McNeil, Jr.; five grandchildren, Van Teryl McNeil III, Zachary Charles McNeil, Isaac Wise McNeil, Shoshana Belle Broussard and Lucienne Stella Broussard; brother, John Beverly "Buster" Broussard; and two sisters, Sister Joan Broussard, O.Carm and Gail Broussard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Valin Broussard and the former Stella Broussard; brother, Robert Broussard; and sister, Rowena Broussard Sagrera.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Wednesday, January 7, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
