Gueydan—Funeral services will be held Friday, January 16, 2015 at a 9 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church honoring the life of Beatrice T. Ryder, 68, who died Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Acadia General Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Hanks Cemetery with Reverend Clint Trahan officiating the services.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Gerald Ryder of Morse; one son, Bryan Ryder and his wife, Veronica; one son-in-law, Stephen Hebert of Gueydan; two daughters, Rhonda and her husband, Larry Thibodeaux of Morse and Iris and her husband, Burt Suire of Bell City; four sisters, Evelyn Richard of Gueydan, Rose Cormier of Gueydan, Ruby Saltzman of Kaplan, and Celestine LaCombe of Gueydan; three brothers, Irving Touchet of Gueydan, Lloyd Touchet of Gueydan, and Lasley Touchet of Abbeville; ten grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Linus Touchet and Henry Touchet; and one daughter, Colleen Hebert.

She loved her family, her children, and her grandchildren.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth Street, on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 4 p.m. until services with a rosary being prayed at 6 p.m.
