Abbeville — Memorial services will be held Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Floyd George Fleming Sr., 76, who died Saturday, November 15, 2008 at Southwest Medical Center.
He will be laid to rest at St. Mary Cemetery with Reverend William Blanda officiating the services.
Mr. Fleming was a veteran of the Korean War, he graduated from Mt. Carmel Class of 1950 and from S.L.I. (now U.L.L.) and retired from Unocal in 1992 after 33 years of service.
He is survived by his children, John Fleming and wife Jackie, Lisa Fleming Breaux and husband Bobby and Julie Anne Fleming; daughter-in-law Donna Touchet Fleming; grandchildren, Christopher Fleming, Jeanne-Claire Fleming, Jacob Fleming, Ryan Breaux and wife Kristen, Kelly Breaux and wife Abbie, and Katie Dubois and husband Elliott,; two great grandchildren, Camden and Kennedie.
He was preceded in death by his wife Gaynel Beauxis Fleming; father, Lloyd Bernard Fleming; mother, Gertrude Moulis Fleming; son, Floyd George "Bubba" Fleming II; brother, Lloyd Bernard Fleming, Jr.
The family request that visiting hours be observed at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 300 Pere Megret Street, on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service with a rosary to be prayed at 12 (noon).
