Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Vores Joseph Broussard, 88, who died Sunday, November 23, 2008 at Vermilion Health Care Center.
He will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend Greg Chauvin officiating the services.
He is survived by his son, Dalton D. and his wife Mary Sonnier Broussard of Maurice; two grandsons, Johnny J. and his wife Tina Broussard of Kaplan and Tony J. and his wife Theresa Broussard of Abbeville; five great grandchildren, Christine, Cody, Derek, Tyler, and Jenifer Broussard.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Trahan Broussard; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Eliza Guidry Broussard; and a sister, Emerite B. Savoy.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Monday, November 24, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; they will reopen Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
