Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Joyce Ann Darby Hebert, 80, who died Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Pelican Pointe Healthcare & Rehabilitation.
She will be laid to rest at Nunez Baptist Cemetery with Chaplain Toby Ryder of Community Home Health Care and Hospice officiating the service.
Pallbearers will be Micah Townley, Trey Frederick, Blake Frederick, Doug Dickerson, Heath Dickerson and Jason Mendel. Honorary pallbearers will be C.J. Bertrand, Hunter Mendel and Alex Hebert.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Edward Joseph Hebert; children and their spouses, Morlene Jordan married to Jay, Charles E. Hebert married to Debora, Joyclyn Esquivel married to Tony, Melinda Frederick married to Nolan, and Corey Todd Hebert married to Pam; brothers and sisters, Thomas Darby married to Velta, Doisey Darby married to Marlyn, Curtis Darby married to Emily, Goldie Heard married to Morris, Earl Darby married to Sarah, Earline Suire married to Stacey, Roberta Mire, Kenneth Darby and Robert Darby married to Judy; ten grandchildren, Carly H. Bertrand, Paula H. Mendel, Amy J. Dickerson, Danya Nichol Townley, Micah Townley Trey Frederick, Blake Frederick, Ashlee Hebert, Allie Hebert, Emma Grace Hebert; nine great grandchildren, Christopher James Bertrand Jr., Caroline Elizabeth Bertrand, Hunter Patrick Mendel, Baby Girl Mendel to be born in March, Heath Dickerson, Macey Dickerson, Alex Hebert, Rayni Levoy, and Danicah Townley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lionel and Ella Darby from Kaplan; brother, Raymond Darby; and sisters, Hazel Darby Patterson and Beverly Darby Meyers.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, January 30, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.; Saturday, January 31, 2015, from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
