Gueydan—Funeral services will be held Friday, November 28, 2008 at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan honoring the life of Anatole Joseph Vincent, 77, who died Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Abbeville General Hospital.

He will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife, Pearly Touchet of Kaplan; one son, Terry Vincent and his wife Helen of Port Allen; five daughters, Loretta and her husband Jimmie Bertrand of Augusta, Georgia, Sue and her husband Russell Kahl of Bush, Peggy and her husband Alvin Fairchild of St. Gabriel, Lisa Cazes of Addis and Mary and her husband Roland Thibodeaux Jr. of Addis; five sisters, Gladys Newman of Rayne, Silvia Sonnier of Lafayette, Francis Guidry of Sulphur, Dorothy Chiasson of Sulphur, and Laura LeBlanc of Iota; sixteen grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theal Vincent and the former Olite Petry; brothers, Archie, Louis and Allen Vincent; and one sister, Lovonia Vincent.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth Street, on Thursday, November 27, 2008 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Friday, November 28, from 8 a.m. until services.
