Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 28, 2015 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Florence East Romero, 90, who died Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Maison du Monde Living Center.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services.

She is survived by her brothers, Juris J. East of Lafayette, Willis East of Bristol, TN and Avery East of Virginia; two sisters, Nita Touchet of Erath and Laura Dupre of New Iberia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvain Romero; parents, John East and the former Enola Blanchard; daughter, Charlotte Bertrand; sister, Agnes Badeaux; and brothers, Corbert J. East and Joe East.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, February 28, 2015, from 8:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
