Dorothy Mae Leblanc

April 22, 1927 — December 7, 2008

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at St. James Cemetery honoring the life of Dorothy Mae Foster LeBlanc, 81, who died Sunday, December 7, 2008 at Abbeville General Hospital.

She will be laid to rest at St. James Cemetery with Reverend Greg Chauvin officiating the services.

She is survived by one son, Leroy Carter; one grandson, Luke A. Carter; one brother, Carlton Foster; and three sisters, Verna Foster, Ella Mae Bourque and Bernice Finn.

She was preceded in death by husband, Minus LeBlanc; parents, Pinckard Foster and the former Emeritt Hebert; two sisters, Nita Foster and Lilly F. Lee; and one brother, Pinckard Foster, Jr.

Dorothy’s family would like to offer a special thanks to her home care nurses.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Monday, December 8, 2008 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Tuesday, December 9, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
