Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 5, 2015 at a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John Catholic Church honoring the life of Bennett Jerry Breaux, 82, who died Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at his residence.

He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Emmanuel Fernandez officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Chad Dartez, Hank Morvant, Sidney DeMarcy, Aaron Breaux, Sam Falcon and Steve Griffin.

Mr. Breaux was the owner/operator of Ben's Sheet Metal in Abbeville. He loved and supported his family.

Bennett was a pitcher with the Evangeline Baseball League. His love for baseball continued once he joined the Army playing throughout Europe.

He is survived by his son, Bryant James Breaux and his wife, Mary of Abbeville; and two grandchildren, Kacie B. Creasman and her husband, Dylan of Avery Island, and Brandon Breaux of Abbeville.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian DeMarcy Breaux; parents, Norbert Breaux and the former Cecile Henri; brothers, J.C. Breaux and Joseph Breaux; and sisters, Rena Broussard and Maize Lege.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. and will remain open until 12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2015 when the procession will depart for the church. A rosary will be prayed on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m.
