Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 13, 2008 at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Summer Allyce Martin, 22, who died Tuesday, December 9, 2008 from the results of an accident.

Reverend William C. Blanda will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Billy Faubion, Brian Senez, Bill Tolson, Chad Martin, Brandon Mountain and Ryan Stokes.

Readers for service will be Courtney and Chad Martin, giftbearers will be Bill and Dodie Tolson.

She is survived by her son, Nathan Travis Cole Martin of Abbeville; mother, Coleen Ann Faubion and her significant other, Dannon Stokes, both of Abbeville; father, Russell Martin and his wife, Laura of Pineville; maternal grandparents, Bill and JoAnn Faubion of Alexandria; paternal grandmother, Mildred Martin of Colfax; maternal great grandmother, Mary Moore of Douglas, AZ.; brother, Chad Martin of Abbeville; sister, Courtney Lynn Martin of Abbeville; step brother, Aaron Michiels of Pineville; step sister, Liana Michiels of St.Rose; aunt, Dodie Tolson; uncles, Billy Faubion, Brian Senez and Gerald Martin; and three close friends whom she considered brothers and sister, Ryan, Jonathan and Courtney Stokes.

She was preceded in death by by her paternal grandfather, Travis Martin.

Summer was employed by Riverfront Restaurant of Abbeville while also attending college. She was a loving mother, daughter, granddaughter and sister.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, December 12, 2008, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 13, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services
