Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Kaplan Baptist Church honoring the life of Verna Vincent David, 86, who died Monday, March 16, 2015 at Abbeville General Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Nunez Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Roland Fontenot officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Lucas David, Kyle David, Clint Hebert, Seth Hebert, Vanessa David, and Vernis Leger.

She is survived by her daughter, Vanessa David of Duson; two grandsons, Lucas David and his wife, Maria of Cow Island and Kyle David of Cow Island; one great granddaughter, Amelia Claire David; two sisters, Joyce Kite of Kaplan and Lena Hebert of Kaplan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Gilbert David; one son, Charles David; one infant daughter, Lynette Claire David; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ignace "Black" Vincent; one sister, Lilly V. Leger; and one nephew, Vince Leger.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m.; Wednesday, March 18, 2015 from 8 a.m. until services.
