Eldridge "Glen" Istre

He will be laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery with Deacon Tim Marcantel officiating the services.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Hargrave Istre; sons, Michael Bryan Istre, Marlin Wayne Istre, Eldridge Glenn Istre, Jr., and David Babin; daughters, Jeri Marcel, Rebecca Leslie, and Christine Verret; brothers, Marlin Simon, Wayne Simon, Murphy East, and Whitney Istre; sisters, Margie Hebert, Ruby East, Norma Istre, and Annie Daigle; twelve grandchildren, Brianna Istre, Paislee Istre, Gawain Westbrook, Paul Westbrook, Blake Westbrook, Stephanie Istre, Eldridge Glenn Istre, III, Joeie Lovell, Heather Lovell, Skiler Lovell, Chelbie Escalante, and Cheyenne Escalante; and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gladu Istre, Sr. and his mother the former Jeanette Quibodeaux; brothers, Gladu Istre, Jr. and Bobby Thomas Istre; and step-father, Otto Simon.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
