Claire Duhon Broussard

August 12, 1909 — December 18, 2008

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Monday, December 22, 2008 at a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Claire Duhon Broussard, 99, who died Thursday, December 18, 2008 at Gueydan Memorial Guest Home. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Mitchell Guidry officiating the services.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary B. Bertrand of Kaplan; one sister, Ruth Simon of Kaplan; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Asa "Chop" Broussard; one daughter, Lilly B. Bonnet; two sisters; and two brothers.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, December 21, 2008 from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Monday, December 22, from 8 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
