Euell Marceaux

July 12, 1938 — December 22, 2008

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Euell “Nook” Marceaux, 70, who died Monday, December 22, 2008 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Harrington Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Marceaux of Kaplan; four sons, Ronald Marceaux and his wife Carol of Kaplan, Jaimes Marceaux and his wife Bonnie of New Iberia, Norman Marceaux and his wife Cathy of Kaplan and Euell Marceaux Jr. of Kaplan; four daughters, Marie and her husband Greg Hebert of Wright, Judy and her husband Larry Henry of Kaplan, Anna and her husband Paul Istre of Kaplan and Kristie and her husband Joey Bourque of Kaplan; three stepsons, Derrall "Noon" Stelly and his wife Donna, Richard Stelly Sr. and Mallan Stelly Jr., all of Forked Island; five stepdaughters, Barbara and her husband Sonny Bourque, Lorie Miller, Christina and her husband Charles Miller, Eva and her husband Donald Gaspard, all of Forked Island and Kathy and her husband Ridley Gayneaux of Henry; three sisters, Azelie Hines of Forked Island, Joyce Harrington of Forked Island and Della Guidry of Jennings; 42 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvest Marceaux and the former Ava Suire; two brothers, Frank and Leroy Marceaux; and one sister, Marie Olite Marceaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, December 22, 2008 from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 6 p.m.; Tuesday, December 23, from 8 a.m. until services.
