Preston J. Miller

November 24, 1939 — December 26, 2008

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 27, 2008 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Preston Miller Sr, 69, who died Friday, December 26, 2008 at Abbeville General Hospital.

He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Remy Miller, Joey Miller, Farrel Hebert, Jade Prejean, Fabion Hebert, Justin Viator and Clarence Bertrand.

He is survived by his wife, Earline Arabie Miller; four children, Melanie Hebert and husband Farrel of Kaplan, Remy Miller of Abbeville, Melissa Prejean and husband Jade of Abbeville and Joseph "Joey" Miller of Abbeville; five siblings, Sadie Melancon of Texas, Ruby Leger, Roberta Miller, Rita Bouillion and John "Weston" Miller all of Crowley; and five grandsons, Aaron Hebert, Alec Hebert, Austin Hebert, Jaden Prejean and Evan Prejean.

He was preceded in death by his father, Remie Miller; mother, Ada Hanks Miller; and a sister, Recella Marks.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, December 26, 2008 from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.

Preston’s family would like to offer a special thanks to the nurses at Medsource for the care they gave hime during his illness and the Doctors and nurses at Abbeville General Hospital.
