Raywood Joseph Landry

December 27, 1921 — January 11, 2009

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at a 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Raywood Joseph Landry, 87, who died Sunday, January 11, 2009 at his residence.

He will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Rev. Chester Arceneaux officiating the services.

He is survived by his son, Kenneth Landry; two daughters, Lynn L. Jones and husband Tommy of Abbeville and Pat Parlier and husband Greg of Abbeville and a sister, Pearl Landry Primeaux; 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Laurice Hebert Landry; father, Hamilton Landry; mother, Eve Dubois; two sisters, Nita Landry Qualls and Thelma Landry Lormand; and a son, Rodney Joseph Landry.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service with a rosary to be prayed at 1:00 p.m.
