Clarence Roy

September 12, 1924 — January 18, 2009

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Clarence Roy, 84, who died Sunday, January 18, 2009 at Heart Hospital of Lafayette. He will be laid to rest at Abshire Cemetery with Deacon Paul Roy Eleazar officiating the services.

He is survived by his companion of twenty-four years, Betty Guidry of Cow Island; three sons, Harold Roy of Cow Island, Jessie Guidry and his wife Monique of Cow Island, and Frank Guidry and his wife Amanda of Cow Island; two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Jeanette) Felts of Indian Bayou and Mrs. Michael (Dolores) Schexnider of Rayne; one brother, Allen Roy of Port Sulphur; eight grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Winnie Bertrand Roy; his second wife, Cecil Gallet Roy; one daughter, Carolyn Roy Bertrand; two sisters, Nolia Dronet and Lillian Romero; and his parents, Adam Roy and the former Ada Clark.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, January 19, 2009 from 11 a.m. until services with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.
