Marie Bennie Duhon

September 5, 1914 — January 20, 2009

ABBEVILLE: Marie "Bennie” Duhon passed away peacefully at her home on the 20th day of January, 2009. She was born September 5, 1914.

She is survived by two sons Whitney J. Duhon Jr. his wife Nancye Tucker Duhon, Bernard F. Duhon and his wife Jeanell Simon Duhon, three grand children Whitney J. Duhon III (Trey) His wife Carla Lahaye Duhon, Zachary Tarver and Sydney Tarver Guidry Her husband Seth Guidry, six great grand children Logan Clothier. Whitney J. Duhon IV
(Tucker), Mason Duhon, Olivia, Jack and Tate Guidry.

She was preceded in death by her husband Whitney J. Duhon, her parents Gabriel
and Leonie Bernard, one infant son Lucas, and five brothers, Saul. Luke, Risby, Noil and
Caesar Bernard.

Pall Bearers will be: Trey Duhon, Zachary Tarver, Russell Broussard, Scott Hollier,
Michael & Whitney Atchetee.

She was a faithful member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church and the Third
Order of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

The family thanks her devoted caretakers and neighbors. Special thanks to Corbet
Lebouef, M. D., Miriam Hutchinson M. D. and Hospice of Acadiana.

A funeral mass will be at St. Mary Magdalen Church at 2:00 P.M.

Vincent Funeral
Home of Abbeville is in charge of the arrangements. Viewing will be from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00
p.m. Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00 am to the time of the service. The Carmelites will say a rosary at 3:00 pm Wednesday and a second rosary will be at 7:00 p.m.

Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to Abbeville’s Mount Carmel Elementary
School, Vermilion Catholic High School and Hospice of Acadiana.
